The
Office of the University Registrar
upholds the mission of the University of Missouri-Columbia by providing
educational support services in an atmosphere of prompt, accurate, and
friendly customer service.
It is the responsibility of the Office of
the University Registrar:
- to maintain timely and accurate records
of the academic progress and accomplishments of its students,
while maintaining the privacy and security of those records
- to provide an effective method of class
registration and enrollment
- to prepare and publish the class schedules,
university catalogs, and final exam schedules
- to manage the use of centrally scheduled
classrooms
- to provide official and unofficial transcripts
and certifications of enrollments as required
- to provide data for internal and external
reporting
- to certify the eligibility of student-athletes
in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations
- to interpret the academic policies to
students, academic administrators, and faculty members as
required
- to perform other academic administration
responsibilities as designated by the Vice Provost for Enrollment
Management.
The office seeks to fulfill its mission
through a commitment to high quality service based on the
principles of mutual respect, fairness, and excellence. The
office is made up of professional staff members committed
to excellence and who exhibit and practice good public and
employee relations, adaptability, cooperation, initiative,
flexibility and consideration of others within and outside
the office.
